Succulent Braised Pork

Comfort food in a plate, tender little pieces of pork that always makes me happy for hours. You can serve it with rice and steamed broccoli and garnish with chives, totally up to you. Enjoy!

Serves 4-6


Ingredients:

  • 760g pork

  • 10ml sage

  • 15ml brown sugar

  • 10ml spicy moroccan rub

  • 10ml chilli flakes

  • 4 cloves of garlic

  • 10ml tomato paste

  • 2.5ml rough sea salt

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 200ml water

Method:

  1. Season the meat and set aside.

  2. In a large frying pan, heat the oil and put in whole garlic cloves followed by the meat.

  3. Fry for 6-8 minutes or until browned.

  4. Add the tomato paste and stir, then reduce the heat.

  5. Remove the garlic and chop it, then return it to the pot and stir to combine.

  6. Add the water and increase the heat to medium, and cook for about 20 minutes or until the water reduces.
